Plan for 2026 – strategies to protect margins
Carmen Quade, AgriFocused
At this point in the year, seasonal forecasts are largely uncertain — so how do you plan forward and make the best decisions? This session outlines how to integrate rotations, inputs, technology, risk and operations into a practical annual plan, with key decision points and triggers to guide choices.
Testing real-world scenarios, Carmen analyses and assesses options to help you protect margins, manage risk, and make the most of whatever the season delivers.
Carmen has worked as a University lecturer in Accounting and Agribusiness and enjoys working with people to improve their business skills. She also has extensive experience in Local Government, both in economic and community development as well as corporate governance.
Together with her husband, she is a partner in a mixed farming business at Tallimba, in the Northern Riverina.
